Case Studies¶
Real-world examples of applying the AILIS framework to understand and analyze AI systems.
Mapping the public Dollhouse Research portfolio into AILIS
A concrete pass across the current public Dollhouse Research stack, including DollhouseMCP, MCP-AQL, Dollhouse Collection, Elemental Surveys, and Merview.
Open the case studyCompute Market Research¶
These newer drafts use AILIS as a lens for the emerging compute-market discussion:
Compute as a Layered Market
Why compute financialization might depend on which layers are standardized, priced, and ignored.
A Layered Basis Risk Model for Compute Capacity
A draft quality-adjusted compute model for analyzing hedge and capacity mismatch.
Compute Capacity Contract and Benchmark Checklist
A practical checklist for contracts, benchmarks, swaps, forwards, and insurance products.
Purpose¶
Case studies demonstrate how AILIS can be used to:
- Analyze existing AI systems and map them to layers
- Identify architectural patterns and anti-patterns
- Compare different system designs
- Guide architectural decisions
More community-driven case studies are still very much wanted.
Contributing Case Studies¶
We're especially interested in case studies that:
- Analyze real systems - Map actual AI applications to AILIS layers
- Compare architectures - Show different approaches to similar problems
- Highlight challenges - Document where the model works well and where it struggles
- Propose improvements - Suggest refinements based on real-world usage
Format¶
Case studies should include:
- System Overview - What system are you analyzing?
- Layer Mapping - How does it map to AILIS layers?
- Key Insights - What did you learn?
- Challenges - Where did the model fall short?
- Recommendations - How could AILIS be improved?
See our Contributing Guide for submission guidelines.
Examples We'd Love to See¶
- Mapping a production chatbot architecture
- Analyzing an autonomous agent system
- Comparing RAG implementations
- Evaluating multi-agent frameworks
- Documenting model serving architectures
Get Involved¶
